Hidden Lives

Want to tell your story? Or hear about the lives of others? Hidden Lives is a Heritage Lottery funded project, looking at the secret life-stories of people living in the vicinity of The Picturedrome. Hundreds of people have already come forward to share their biographies, resulting in two public exhibitions and a new website-based archive. Some of the life stories heard so far have been specially chosen to make up the content of a new play, currently being created by our Head of Outreach, Adam Fotheringham. This play will be presented by a cast of four actors on Sat 25 Feb 3pm and 7.30pm at The Picturedrome.

Achilles

Achilles is a new musical, specially written for Tongues of Fire Youth Theatre by our Artistic and Musical Directors, Alexander Gifford and Natalie Farmer. Based on the ancient Greek epic, The Iliad - it re-tells the story of the Trojan war for the modern stage, using music and skilfully choreographed battle scenes. The production features a talented cast of twenty local youngsters. It will be performed Fri 17, Sat 18 Feb at 7.30pm and Sun 19 Feb at 2.30pm at The Picturedrome. Achilles is supported by Gloucester City Council and The Summerfield Trust.
